Paw Project Days
What are Paw Project Days?
Paw Project Days are a new opportunity for youth ages 13-16 to earn volunteer hours by participating in a service project at our adoption facility.
Students will help with the “project of the day”, as determined by staff, such as reorganizing our storage room, bagging food for our Food Pantry program, prepping materials for one of our annual events, or making DIY animal enrichment toys.
Who is eligible?
Paw Projects are open to anyone between the ages of 13-16. If students need to fulfill a community service requirement for programs like Crosby Scholars, Life Skills classes, graduation, etc. they can earn 2 hours towards their requirement by participating in one of these projects.
What do I wear/bring?
We require that participants wear closed toe and closed heel shoes (sneakers, boots, flats, etc.) NO flip flops or sandals. We recommend that participants wear pants and a t-shirt or something comfortable that they can move around in and don’t mind getting dirty.
We recommend that participants bring their own water bottle/drink. No food is allowed inside the adoption center.
If students have a time sheet or form that needs to be filled out for a class/program requirement etc. they must bring that form with them on the day of the project and have it signed before leaving. Staff will not sign off on hours after the date since we will have no way to verify completed hours.
How do I sign up?
We thank you for being patient as we work to make this program a success for interested youth volunteers!
We will post the registration form and advertise upcoming dates and soon as program details have been finalized.
